Robin M. Verble

Dr. Robin M. Verble is an Associate Professor of Biology at Missouri University of Science and Technology (Missouri S&T), serving as Director of the Fire Ecology Lab and a Research Investigator at the Center for Research in Energy and Environment (CREE). She holds a Ph.D. in Applied Ecology from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, alongside a M.S. in Forest Entomology and B.S. in Biophysics.

Research Interests: Her work focuses on fire-adapted ecosystems, insect community responses to prescribed burning, and climate impacts on plant flammability. Current projects include mechanical treatment effects on fire behavior and fire's role in pest/insect dynamics.

Affiliations: She leads the Fire Ecology Lab and collaborates with CREE and the Center for Science, Technology, and Society (CSTS). Past roles include Director of the Center for Fire Ecology (Texas Tech University) and Assistant Professor in Natural Resources Management.
