Robin Gras

Robin Gras is a Professor at the School of Computer Science, University of Windsor, and former Canada Research Chair. He holds cross-appointments in the Biology Department and Great Lakes Institute for Environmental Research. Additionally, he serves as CSO and Partner at Movyl Technologies and MVYL Associates.

His research spans deep learning, machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and theoretical biology. Key focus areas include evolutionary modeling using individual-based approaches, NLP innovations like text summarization and attention visualization, and computational methods for genomic analysis.

Recent publications demonstrate strong emphasis on transformer model optimization, evolutionary biology simulations, and NLP applications. A consistent theme is developing efficient computational methods to solve complex biological and linguistic problems.
