Robin Germany is a Professor of Photography at the School of Art at Texas Tech University. Her work focuses on the interplay between light, water, and land, using underwater photography to explore the liminal space where these environments converge.

Her research examines the tension between the sunlit world above water and the obscured darkness beneath, employing specialized underwater cameras and lighting to visualize these transitions. Germany’s photographs are featured in the Texas Tech Museum of Art, Center for Creative Photography (Tucson), and private collections globally.
Grants & Collections: She has received multiple research grants from Texas Tech University, supporting her exploration of environmental boundaries through photography. Her work is held in institutions such as the Boise Art Museum and Center for Photography at Woodstock.
