Robin C. Orozco

Robin C. Orozco is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Molecular Biosciences at the University of Kansas. Their research focuses on genetic influences on anti-viral immunity, particularly allelic variations in immune-related genes like PTPN22 and their impact on immune responses during viral infections. • Investigating the molecular and cellular mechanisms of PTPN22 pro-autoimmune allele in regulating immune responses during viral infections
• Developing transgenic murine models (including CRISPR/Cas9-generated variants) to study immune cell functions
• Analyzing neuroinflammatory effects in CNS viral infections and immune-mediated pathologies
