Robin Barlow (1934-2015) was a Professor of Economics at the University of Michigan from 1961 to 1988, specializing in economic development with a focus on the Middle East. He later served as a Professor of Public Health in the Department of Epidemiology from 1988 until 2000. During his career, he held roles as Associate Chair of the Economics Department and directed the Center for Research on Economic Development and the Center for Middle Eastern and North African Studies.
