Robin Anderson

Robin Anderson is an Assistant Professor of Mathematics Education at North Carolina State University (NC State), affiliated with the Department of Teacher Education and Learning Sciences within the College of Education. Her work focuses on justice-oriented teaching, transformative pedagogical practices, and the role of online communities in fostering educator growth. She holds a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Teacher Education from Stanford University (2019), an M.Ed. in Secondary Mathematics and Physics from UC San Diego (2008), and a B.A. in Mathematics (2006).

Dr. Anderson’s research emphasizes equity-focused professional development, curriculum design, and addressing systemic challenges in mathematics education. She has secured over $1.8 million in research funding and received NC State’s Goodnight Early Career Innovators Award. Her projects explore reflective frameworks for educators, the impact of virtual learning environments, and intersections of race and education in teacher preparation.
