Roberta Sessoli

Roberta Sessoli is a Full Professor of General and Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Florence since 2012. She has held academic positions including Associate Professor (2000-2011) and Associate Researcher (1997-2000) at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Florence. She is a research associate of CNR-ICCOM and a prominent member of the Italian Chemical Society's Scientific Council.

• Research Focus: Pioneering work in molecular magnetism, quantum technologies, and spintronics.
• Leadership: Vice-chair of a COST Action on molecular spins; served on the European Research Council panel.

Scientific Contributions: Discovered Single Molecule Magnets (SMMs) and demonstrated quantum effects at mesoscopic scales. Recent work involves surface science, magnetic hysteresis in monolayers, and magneto-chiral dichroism using synchrotron radiation.
