Dr. Roberta Berry is Associate Professor of Public Policy at Georgia Tech and Director of the GT Honors Program. She holds a joint appointment as Professor of Science and Technology Law, Policy, and Ethics at Georgia State University College of Law.
Her research examines:
- Ethical and policy dimensions of bioscience innovations
- Bioethics pedagogy for STEM professionals
- Legal frameworks for emerging biotechnologies
Dr. Berry developed problem-based learning curricula for bioscience ethics through NSF funding. She serves on editorial boards for bioethics journals and has reviewed for National Science Foundation and Wellcome Trust.
Honors include:
- Class of 1940 W. Howard Ector Outstanding Teacher Award (2005)
- Ivan Allen Jr. Faculty Legacy Award (2004)
- Outstanding Faculty Member (2001)
She teaches interdisciplinary courses on science, technology, and human values, preparing students to address complex bioethical challenges.
