Robert Truog is the Frances Glessner Lee Professor of Legal Medicine, Professor of Anaesthesia (Pediatrics), and Executive Director of the Institute for Professionalism and Ethical Practice at Harvard Medical School. He holds dual appointments in the Department of Anesthesiology, Critical Care and Pain Medicine and serves as Director of the Center for Bioethics. Trained in pediatrics and anesthesiology, he specializes in critical care medicine ethics, end-of-life care, and medical futility disputes.
