About
Robert Shriver is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Natural Resources & Environmental Science at the University of Nevada, Reno. His research focuses on quantitative approaches to understanding plant population and ecosystem dynamics across spatial scales, with particular emphasis on demographic modeling, environmental change impacts, and landscape-scale conservation strategies.
Dr. Shriver earned his B.S. from the University of Wyoming (2011) and Ph.D. from Duke University (2017). His current research investigates demographic controls on ecosystem resilience, environmental variability impacts on communities, and restoration ecology in changing environments.
His extensive publication record reflects interdisciplinary approaches combining field ecology, remote sensing, and statistical modeling to address pressing environmental challenges. Recent work explores hydrological modeling under climate change, woodland dynamics, fire ecology, and river ecosystem recovery.
