Dr. Robert Shea serves as Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Curry College, functioning as the institution's Chief Academic Officer responsible for all academic programs' quality. He joined Curry College in 2021 as Dean of Teaching, Learning, and Assessment before advancing to Provost in August 2022.
Dr. Shea brings extensive higher education leadership experience from previous roles as Vice President for Academic Affairs at Pine Manor College, Vice Provost and Associate Provost for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning at Roger Williams University, Assistant Vice President for Teaching and Learning and Director of Faculty Development at Bryant University, and Director of the Office of Student Learning, Outcomes Assessment and Accreditation at University of Rhode Island.
His academic background includes a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Virginia, with teaching experience across multiple institutions since 1994. His research interests encompass:

In his administrative capacity, Dr. Shea leads the Faculty Center for Professional Development and Curriculum Innovation, oversees assessment and accreditation initiatives, advances academic technology integration, and contributes to strategic planning, faculty recruitment, development, and evaluation processes across the institution.
