Robert Rokowski is a Professor at the Academy of Physical Education in Krakow, affiliated with the Department of Tourism and Recreation within the Institute of Tourism. He holds a Doctorate in Physical Culture (2006) specializing in sport theory. His research focuses on somatic and motor determinants of climbing performance, strength/endurance in climbers, and training methodologies. He teaches courses on biological/environmental movement determinants and practical mountaineering skills. A seasoned climber with 30 years' experience, he has achieved notable ascents including the winter ascent of Superdirettissima on Kazalnica Mięguszowiecka. Certified as a sport climbing instructor, mountaineering instructor, and International Mountaineering Guide (UIAGM), he also contributes to rescue operations with TOPR. His work integrates scientific research with practical training, emphasizing biomechanics, physiology, and pedagogy in climbing disciplines.
Education: Doctor of Physical Culture (2006). Awards include Best Paper (2007), Honorable Mention (2008), and Scientific Article of the Year (2010).
