Robert Porte

Prof. Robert Porte is a Professor of Surgery at the University of Groningen, affiliated with the Faculty of Medical Sciences and the Groningen Institute for Organ Transplantation (GIOT). He leads the Section of Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Surgery and Liver Transplantation. His research focuses on liver transplantation, machine perfusion techniques, and graft preservation. He has authored over 518 publications and holds the 2019 Rising Star Mentor Award from the International Liver Transplantation Society.
