Robert Pollak is the Hernreich Distinguished Professor of Economics with joint appointment in the Olin School of Business and Department of Economics at Washington University in St. Louis, and an NBER Research Associate. His research spans environmental policy, consumer demand analysis, demography, and family economics. Pollak has authored three books and numerous journal articles, with his work influencing cost-of-living measurement standards.
