Robert Nedoma

Univ.-Prof. Dr. Robert Nedoma is a faculty member at the University of Vienna, holding the chair of Old Scandinavian Philology and Old German Philology since 2019. He has been affiliated with the Department of Scandinavian Studies since 1987, progressing from contract assistant to associate professor (2010) and full professor (2019).

• Comparative Germanic linguistics

• Onomastic analysis

Recent publications focus on runic inscriptions, language evolution, and cultural symbolism. Awards include the 1991 Lower Austria Science Recognition Award. He serves as IT officer and u:cris manager at his department.
