Robert Muth

Robert Muth serves as Vice Dean and Professor of Law at the University of San Diego School of Law, where he directs the award-winning legal clinics program overseeing eleven client-service clinics and founded the USD Veterans Legal Clinic providing pro bono services to veterans and their families.

His educational background includes a JD from Duke University (2005) and a BA from Northwestern University (2002).

Muth specializes in Veterans Law, Professional Responsibility, Civil Litigation, Consumer Law, Military Justice, and Clinical Education, focusing on systemic vulnerabilities in veterans' education benefits and ethical legal practice. His work bridges military service transitions, consumer protection, and clinical legal pedagogy.

His 2022 scholarship analyzes cyclical exploitation of veterans by for-profit institutions, emphasizing regulatory gaps in education benefits and consumer safeguards within military-veteran communities.
