Robert MacDougall is an Associate Professor and Undergraduate Chair in the Department of History at Western University. He holds a PhD from Harvard University (2004) and specializes in the history of late 19th- and 20th-century United States, with focuses on communication, science, and technology. His research explores topics like the telephone’s political economy, pseudoscience, and thermodynamics’ cultural impact. He has authored The People’s Network (2014), which won the Albert B. Corey Prize, and his work on the Keely Motor earned the Abbott Payson Usher Prize. MacDougall teaches courses on U.S. history, digital history, and the history of science, and has pioneered immersive educational games like Tecumseh Lies Here.
