Robert Lloyd is a Research Fellow at Georgia State University's Urban Studies Institute with specializations in urban resilience, climate adaptation, and community engagement. His research investigates urban transformations, sustainability challenges, and infrastructure vulnerability in changing climate conditions.
Current projects include the Urban Resilience to Extremes Sustainability Research Network (UREx SRN) and the Growing Convergence Research Program examining flood vulnerability across six U.S. cities. Lloyd also researches resident engagement with stormwater infrastructure in New Orleans and community interactions with Atlanta's BeltLine urban redevelopment.
His work connects urban ecosystems with social systems through participatory approaches addressing environmental justice and adaptation planning. Lloyd holds an M.A. in Anthropology from Georgia State University and a B.A. from SUNY Albany.
