Robert Lauer

Robert Lauer is a Visiting Assistant Professor in Animation, specializing in game design and digital media. He holds a BFA in Game Design from the Cleveland Institute of Art. Currently, he serves as Creative Director at 360 Alley, an Augmented Reality design company, while teaching animation courses through the Center for Arts Inspired Learning (CAL). Lauer actively contributes to the game development community as an organizer with the Cleveland Game Developers and frequently conducts workshops on game design and its history.

Education:

Research & Practice: Lauer's work bridges art and technology, focusing on interactive media, AR applications, and educational outreach. His independent projects have been showcased at venues such as the Akron Art Museum, GDEX, and the Cleveland Maker Faire.

Professional Roles: In addition to his academic role, he leads 360 Alley and advocates for community growth in game development through organizing events and mentorship.
