Robert Kaplan is an Advanced Senior Lecturer and Associate Director at Stony Brook University’s Program in Writing & Rhetoric, affiliated with the College of Arts and Sciences and Department of English. His work bridges academic writing pedagogy, writing transfer studies, and interdisciplinary research in Euro-American intellectual history, early American literature, queer theory, and poetry.
- Fields of Interest: Writing in the disciplines, writing transfer, eighteenth-century rhetoric, queer theory, HIV-related public health research.
