Robert B. Jackson is the Nicholas Chair of Global Environmental Change at Duke University, with joint appointments in the Nicholas School of the Environment and Biology Department. His research investigates human impacts on Earth systems, including global carbon/water cycles, climate change, and energy transitions.
He directs Duke's Center on Global Change and Stable Isotope Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, leading projects on methane emissions detection, carbon sequestration, and ecosystem responses to climate change. His work combines field measurements with remote sensing and modeling approaches.
