Robert H. Collins Jr., M.D., FACP is a Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He holds the Sydney and J.L. Huffines Distinguished Chair in Cancer Research and the H. Lloyd and Willye V. Skaggs Professorship. As Director of the Hematologic Malignancies and Cellular Therapy Program and Combined Adult/Pediatric Stem Cell Transplant Program, he specializes in leukemia, lymphoma, and myelodysplastic syndrome treatments. With 35 years in bone marrow transplantation, he has overseen 3,000 transplants and leads international clinical trials in adoptive immunotherapy and molecular-targeted therapies.
Education: B.S. and M.D. from University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine; Internal Medicine residency at Baylor University Medical Center; Hematology/Oncology fellowship at UCLA.
Research focuses on hematologic malignancies, with over 150 publications in NEJM, JAMA, Blood, and others. Recognized for clinical leadership with awards from the Lymphoma Research Foundation and UT Southwestern. Active in training medical students, residents, and fellows at UT Southwestern Medical School.
