Robert Geyer

Professor Robert Geyer is a prominent academic at Lancaster University, serving as Professor of Politics, Complexity and Policy. He joined Lancaster in 2006, holding leadership roles including Head of the Department of Politics, Philosophy and Religion, and various Dean-level positions focusing on internationalization. His research focuses on complexity theory applied to public policy, EU social and health policy, and international political economy. Geyer holds degrees from UC San Diego, the University of Essex, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He has received funding from multiple institutions, including the British Academy and ESRC, and founded the Centre for Complexity Research, recognized by leading research councils.
