Dr Robert Garson is a Research Fellow at the School of Humanities, Keele University. He holds a bachelor's degree in History from the University of Sussex and a doctorate from the London School of Economics. His current research focuses on the late 18th-century US Dollar adoption debate and global political economy through a collaborative project with the Open University.
His notable publications include The Democratic Party and the Politics of Sectionalism, 1941-1948 (1974), The Uncertain Power: A Political History of the United States Since 1929 (1990, co-authored with Chris Bailey), and The United States and China: A Troubled Affair (1994).
