Robert Gahl

Rev. Robert Gahl is an Associate Professor of Church Management and Director of Church Management Programs at the Busch School of Business, Catholic University of America. He concurrently serves as Associate Professor of Ethics in the School of Philosophy at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in Rome. His expertise spans natural law, virtue ethics, Thomistic action theory, and papal social doctrine.

Education: B.S. Chemical Engineering (Washington University), Licentiate in Philosophy (University of Navarre), PhD in Philosophy (Pontifical University of the Holy Cross). Postdoctoral research at University of Notre Dame. Ordained as a priest by St. John Paul II.

Research focuses on narrative ethics, intergenerational human flourishing, and corporate social behavior. Taught at Harvard's Human Flourishing Program (2018-2019) and lectured globally including Vatican, UK, Italy, Kenya, and Eastern Europe. Published in Business and Professional Ethics Journal and frequently quoted in major media like NYT, BBC, and Vatican Radio.

Teaches courses on priestly virtue, technology ethics, and canon law governance. Serves as spiritual leader and academic director for ecclesiastical management programs.
