Dr. Robert G. May is an Associate Professor and Affiliate Creative Writing Faculty at Queen's University. He specializes in Canadian literature in English, with a focus on 19th- and 20th-century poetry and fiction. His affiliations include the Creative Writing department and John Watson Hall (office 524).
Research Interests:
- Modern Canadian poetry, particularly F.R. Scott and the Montréal poets
- Contemporary Canadian poets John Barton and Gary Geddes
- Human rights/social justice writing
- LGBTQ theory and literatures
He has co-edited Auto-Anthology: The Complete Poems and Translations of F.R. Scott (in progress) and published peer-reviewed articles on literary figures like Duncan Campbell Scott. His edited works include Gary Geddes: Essays on His Works (2010) and Duncan Campbell Scott’s In the Village of Viger: A Critical Edition (2010).
