Dr. Robert Finkelman is a Lecturer in the Department of Geosciences at the University of Texas at Dallas, affiliated with the School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. He is also a visiting professor at two universities in Beijing, China, and a Fulbright Specialist working on environmental health projects in India.

Research Interests: Dr. Finkelman specializes in Coal Chemistry, focusing on coal's technological performance, economic byproducts, and environmental/health impacts. He pioneered the field of Medical Geology, investigating how geologic materials affect human and animal health, and has conducted extensive Planetary Science research on lunar samples and cosmic dust.
