Robert Evans serves as a Lecturer in Law in an adjunct capacity while maintaining an active legal practice. He currently heads the Capital Markets group at Locke Lord LLP (an AMLAW 100 firm), having previously held significant roles at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as Deputy Director and Chief of the Office of International Corporate Finance (2017-2019), and at Shearman & Sterling LLP in New York.
His expertise centers on securities law and capital markets, with extensive experience in IPOs, convertible bonds, debt securities, and cross-border transactions involving European and Latin American companies. He specializes in representing investment banks in public offerings and Rule 144A/Reg S offerings, while his recent practice expansion includes corporate governance and ESG matters.
