Robert E. Denoyer

Captain Robert E. Denoyer serves as the Marine Officer Instructor at Norwich University's College of National Services within the Naval and Marine Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (NROTC) department, a position he assumed in June 2020. He trains and mentors cadets for commissioning into the United States Marine Corps.

His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the Georgia Institute of Technology (2013) via NROTC, followed by completion of The Basic School and Basic Communications Officer Course. Military training forms the core of his professional development.

Denoyer's expertise centers on applied military science, with research and instructional interests in Military Science, Leadership, Communications, and National Security. These areas derive directly from his combat and command experience in communications-intensive operations across multiple theaters.

His distinguished service decorations include:

Throughout his operational career, Captain Denoyer commanded communications units at 2nd Marine Division and Sixth Marine Infantry Regiment, deployed to Afghanistan with Task Force Southwest as an ANP G6 Advisor, and served in Iraq with CJSOTF-I supporting Operation Inherent Resolve. At Norwich, he translates this frontline experience into leadership development for future Marine officers.
