Professor Robert Copeland is a Professor of Physical Activity and Health at Sheffield Hallam University and Director of the Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre (AWRC). He previously led the National Centre for Sport and Exercise Medicine (NCSEM) in Sheffield from 2012 to 2022. His work focuses on designing behavior change interventions to improve public health through physical activity, particularly in chronic disease prevention and workforce wellness.
His research interests include physical activity promotion, obesity management, and the integration of healthcare systems with leisure facilities.
