Robert Cope

Robert Cope is a Lecturer in applied statistics and data science at UNE's School of Science and Technology. His research develops statistical models for biological systems including disease transmission, invasive species spread, and ecological dynamics.

Cope's epidemiological modeling informed Australian COVID-19 vaccination policy, particularly regarding Delta variant transmission. His interdisciplinary approach combines Bayesian inference, computational methods, and stochastic modeling to address public health and biosecurity challenges.
