Robert Brown is a Professor and Master of Architecture Design Studio Leader at the University of Plymouth's School of Art, Design and Architecture (Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Business). He served as Head of Architecture from 2011 to 2016 and is recognized for innovative teaching, consistently receiving student nominations for the University's STAR Awards for Teaching Excellence. His students frequently win design competitions, including multiple Creative Conscious Awards (5 Golds, 6 Silvers, 3 Bronzes, and 1 Honourable Mention).
His research focuses on socio-cultural identity, urban regeneration, and architectural pedagogy. He has published over 30 book chapters and articles, co-authored a book, and co-edited a journal.
