Dr Robert Bellamy is a Senior Lecturer in Climate and Society at the Department of Geography, University of Manchester. He joined Manchester in 2018 after a James Martin Fellowship at the University of Oxford. His work bridges social science, climate research, and technology governance.

- PhD in Environmental Science (University of East Anglia)
His research examines how climate change responses are perceived and governed, with a focus on carbon dioxide removal, solar geoengineering, and energy systems. Recent projects include REFLECT (2025–2030) and Co-CREATE (2024–2026).
Key awards include the University of Manchester Presidential Fellowship (2018–2022) and Best Researcher of the Year (2021). He contributes to editorial roles as Editor-in-Chief of Dialogues on Climate Change and leads the MSc in Climate Change program.
