Robert Bell

Robert Bell is a Researcher at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) in the Materials Science, Chemistry and Nanoscience department. His work focuses on iron and steel, mine tailing valorization, and critical minerals production using electrochemical methods.

Research interests: Iron and steel recycling, mine tailings, critical minerals recovery, molten salts, and electrochemical carbonate mineralization. He has published on silicon decarbonization and cerium oxide analysis.

Recent collaborations: Worked with Hoover, Wu, and Rippy on high-temperature electrochemical systems and silicon production methods.
