Robert Atkins

Robert Atkins is a Professor and Executive Vice Dean at Johns Hopkins University (JHU), holding the Anna D. Wolf Chair. He is affiliated with the JHU Center for Equity in Child and Youth Health and Wellbeing. His career focuses on improving health outcomes for marginalized children and families in distressed neighborhoods.

• Earned PhD in Public Health at Temple University
• Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and American Civilizations from Brown University
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania

Dr. Atkins specializes in health disparities, policy, school health, and community engagement. He cofounded the Camden STARR Program and served as National Program Director for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s New Jersey Health Initiatives (NJHI), fostering cross-sector partnerships in health equity.
