Robert Andrew Foley, FBA, is a leading British anthropologist and archaeologist specializing in human evolution. Currently serving as the Leverhulme Professor of Human Evolution at the University of Cambridge since 2003, he co-founded the Leverhulme Centre for Human Evolutionary Studies in 2001 and has been its director. His academic journey includes being a King's College Fellow since 1987 and a University of Durham lecturer (1977-1985).
