Rob Pierce

Rob Pierce is a Senior Researcher at DTU Wind and Energy Systems, specializing in composites manufacturing and wind energy systems. His work focuses on optimizing material properties, manufacturing processes, and structural-functional integration for aerospace and wind energy applications. Pierce is affiliated with the Department of Wind and Energy Systems Composites Manufacturing and Testing Division, contributing to projects like AIOLOS and MADEBLADES aimed at cost-effective large-scale composite manufacturing.

Research interests include fiber orientation analysis in composites, resin infusion processes, sound absorption materials, and residual stress mitigation. He supervises PhD students in composite manufacturing and has co-authored over 18 peer-reviewed publications. His recent work emphasizes low-frequency sound absorption metamaterials and computational modeling of fluid dynamics in composite structures.
