Rob Moir is an Associate Professor and Associate Dean (Research and Special Projects) at the Faculty of Business, University of New Brunswick (Saint John campus). He holds a PhD in Economics from McMaster University and has held visiting positions at the University of Arizona, University of Trento (Italy), and Huazhong University of Science and Technology (China).

His research focuses on cooperation in economic systems, using game theory, experimental economics, and behavioral economics to explore mechanisms for fostering cooperative behavior in contexts like environmental management, market structures, governance, public good provision, and community development. He has secured grants analyzing New Brunswick's tourism economy and investigates topics such as happiness metrics and economic measurement.
In May 2018, he was named a John Dobson Enactus Fellow for his contributions to entrepreneurship education. His publications span experimental economics, environmental metrics, and economic education, including textbook authorship and collaborations on public good provision studies.
