About
Rob McQueeney is the John and Mary Weaver Professor of Physics & Astronomy at Iowa State University and Senior Scientist at Ames Laboratory, where he directs the Center for the Advancement of Topological Semimetals (CATS) and leads research on magnetic interactions in quantum materials.
His expertise includes neutron scattering studies of:
- Magnetic topological semimetals
- Quantum magnetism
- Unconventional superconductivity
An inaugural member of the DOE's Oppenheimer Leadership Program and APS Fellow, his work advances understanding of emergent phenomena in quantum materials.
