Prof. Rob Henning is a Professor of Pharmacology at the University of Groningen, affiliated with the Faculty of Medical Sciences and the Department of Pharmacology. His research focuses on hibernation biology, cardiovascular systems, and neurodegenerative diseases, particularly leveraging insights from hibernation to develop novel therapies. He leads projects such as 'The cool brain: How hibernators maintain neuronal integrity' and 'Increased lifespan in hibernators despite DNA damage.'
