Dr. Rob Buhmann is a Senior Lecturer in Exercise Science (Motor Control) at the School of Health, University of the Sunshine Coast. He holds a PhD (Philosophy) from Queensland University of Technology, alongside BAppSc (Hons Ia) and BEMS degrees from the same institution. His research focuses on neuromuscular adaptations, hamstring strain injury rehabilitation, and sports medicine. He maintains an affiliation with the QUT Hamstring Strain Injury Research Group.
Dr. Buhmann teaches Motor Control and Learning, Anatomy, and Resistance Training. As Program Coordinator for the Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science, he oversees curriculum development. Prior to academia, he worked as a strength and conditioning coach in Australian professional soccer.
