Professor Rico Merkert holds the Chair in Transport and Supply Chain Management at The University of Sydney and serves as Deputy Director of the Institute of Transport and Logistics Studies (ITLS). He has a PhD in Transport Economics and has held academic positions at institutions such as Cranfield University and UC Berkeley. He is also a Visiting Professor at the University of Johannesburg.
