Ricky van Oers is an Assistant Professor of Sociology of Law and Migration Law at Radboud University, with a 20% part-time professorship in Immigrant Inclusion & Law at Western Norway University of Applied Sciences. She directs the Radboud University Network on Migrant Inclusion (RUNOMI). Her work focuses on migrant inclusion, social justice, and the intersection of social class with migration laws and policies.
Education: Law degrees from Radboud University and Université Paris Descartes. She defended her PhD thesis Deserving Citizenship. Citizenship Tests in Germany, the Netherlands and the UK (Brill, 2014) at Radboud University in 2013.
Research interests include the 'Migration-Class Nexus' project (2024–2028), funded by an NWO XS grant, examining how social class interacts with legal migration pathways and post-migration policies. This addresses gaps in understanding class dynamics in immigrants’ lives across EU contexts.
