Rick Vanderlee is a Professor at Nipissing University's School of Nursing, part of the Faculty of Education and Professional Studies. He holds a EdD from the University of Toronto, an MScN from the University of Western Ontario, and a BNSc from Queen’s University. His research focuses on Narrative Inquiry, Curriculum-Teaching-Learning, Experiential Learning, Nursing Education, and Inquiry Based Learning.
Recent research includes a SSHRC-funded project on the Post-Secondary Students with Disabilities Network (2015/17), and collaborative studies on student mobility in nursing education (ONCAT-funded, 2013/14). He also contributed to projects like Simulated Experiential Learning for Interprofessional Healthcare Practice (2017-2018) and UOIT-DC Interprofessional Health Care Simulated Learning (2017).
His work addresses educational equity, interprofessional collaboration, and accessibility in higher education.
