Rick Porter

Rick Porter is a Professor of Practice and Director of the Master of Real Estate Development program at the Georgia Institute of Technology's College of Design. With over 45 years of experience, he founded Richport, a residential development company, and has developed $550M+ in real estate across Metro Atlanta. His work emphasizes environmental stewardship, including pioneering stormwater management solutions and creating conservation communities.

Research interests focus on sustainable urban development, land use policy, and innovative regulatory frameworks. He co-chaired Dekalb County's Infill Task Force, influencing urban design guidelines.
