Rick Petry is an Adjunct Professor and Director of the Office of Culture and Inclusion at Mitchell Hamline School of Law. With nearly 30 years of experience in legal education and the legal industry, including 17 years as a trial attorney in criminal and civil litigation, he now focuses on teaching and mentoring law students, faculty, and staff. His courses include torts, advanced litigation skills, and the Expert Witness Academy, while also serving as an executive coach for lawyers globally.
Rick contributes to international legal education through his roles as a faculty member with Professional Advanced Legal Studies (PALS) Global and an affiliated professor at the University of Greenwich, where he teaches comparative international criminal law. His philosophy emphasizes leadership as a privilege requiring a duty of care, aiming to foster professional and personal growth in students and professionals.
