Rick Grieve

Rick Grieve, Ph.D., is a Professor of Psychology at Western Kentucky University, where he coordinates the Clinical Psychology MA Program. His research focuses on eating disorders (particularly muscle dysmorphia in males) and sport psychology, including sport fan behaviors, optimism, and moral development within sports.

• Investigates muscle dysmorphia (body dysmorphic disorder in males perceiving themselves as too small)
• Studies sport fandom, exploring its psychological and social dimensions
• Focuses on anger management and cognitive behavioral therapy applications

He advises the WKU Gamers' Guild and leads the Clinical and Applied Research (CAR) Group, which engages students in research on eating disorders and sport psychology.
