Richele Wind

Richèle Wind is an Associate Professor at HAN University of Applied Sciences, specializing in Industrial Microbiology, Fermentation Technology, and Biochemistry. With a PhD from Wageningen University & Research (WUR) focused on protein engineering of starch-converting enzymes, she has extensive experience in heterologous protein production, lactic acid-producing bacteria, and probiotics safety in food. Since 2012, she has led projects at HAN BioCentre, contributing to a sustainable and healthier society through biobased innovations.

Research Interests: Richèle's work spans the entire biodiscovery chain, emphasizing responsible use of living systems. She has collaborated with Hercules European Research Center, Corbion, and Nutricia Research.

Academic Roles: As a project leader at HAN BioCentre and manager of the Biobased Innovations lectorate, she drives practice-oriented research. She is also involved in educational programs like the Master Molecular Life Sciences and Bachelor of Biology and Chemistry.
