Richard Wanty

Richard B. Wanty is a Research Professor in the Department of Geology and Geological Engineering at Colorado School of Mines. He holds a BA in Geochemistry (SUNY Binghamton, 1979), MS (1981) and PhD (1986) in Geochemistry from Colorado School of Mines. His research examines aqueous geochemistry, transition-metal isotopes, landscape geochemistry, and analytical methods.

Recent publications focus on environmental geochemistry, watershed management, and contaminant tracing techniques. Key methodologies include field sampling and GIS-based environmental modeling.

Awards include selection to the Fulbright Specialist Program (2023).
