Richard Taylor is the BNFL Chair in Nuclear Energy Systems at the University of Manchester's Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. He holds a BEng in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Leeds (1984) and served as a Visiting Professor at the University of Liverpool (2011–2022). His research focuses on nuclear energy systems, fusion technology, and sustainable waste management, contributing to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to affordable and clean energy.
